Thuan Phat Supermarket – This is a large Vietnamese grocery store so it has inexpensive produce, a smelly fish department, and many unusual Asian food items.

Sprouts – They have organic and natural foods and good meats.

Trader Joe’s – They have organic and natural foods (not to mention the "2 Buck Chuck" (Charles Shaw) wine and Vodka of the Gods.

Westfield UTC – Westfield UTC mall offers an open-air premier shopping experience, with such distinguished retailers as well as an ice rink, open year round.

Fashion Valley – Fashion Valley is an upscale open-air mall in Mission Valley offering the city's finest collection of retail and dining options. Five department stores- Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Macy's, JCPenney, and the city's first Bloomingdale's.

Westfield Mission Valley – This older outdoor mall predates sleek Fashion Valley and has found a niche with budget-minded stores such as Loehmann's, Nordstrom Rack, and Target; you'll also find Macy's Home & Furniture, West Elm, Sport Chalet, and Bed Bath & Beyond.

Westfield Horton Plaza – Horton Plaza is a five level outdoor shopping mall located in downtown San Diego and remarkable for its bright colors, architectural tricks and odd spatial rhythms. It stands on six and a half city blocks and is adjacent to the city's historic Gaslamp Quarter.
